DJ Nate at Terrace DJ was amazing! He was super helpful and understanding about me procrastinating when it came to filling out my music survey, he downloaded any songs that he didn't already have that we wanted to hear, including our somewhat obscure first dance song, and he managed to keep people dancing all night even when they was potential to be distracted by a fire pit with s'mores and an ice cream truck! Nate listened to all our wacky requests and made sure to play songs that would keep the party going and keep my guests happy. I've heard from many guests about how great the music was, how happy they were to hear the songs they requested on the survey I sent out before the wedding, and how awesome it was to be at a wedding where they didn't play to same tired wedding songs. (a direct quote from a coworker: "I've never heard 'Ruby Soho' played at a wedding! That was amazing!"). Terrace DJ was much more affordable than any other DJ company I looked into and from the very beginning I was sure that we would get only awesome service from DJ Nate. I will absolutely recommend his services to anyone getting married in the future!

We booked Nate for our Philly wedding because we wanted a DJ who would dedicate his energy to an awesomely curated playlist and perfect ceremony sound, and NOT tacky, eye-rolling announcements. From the first conversation, we knew he would be a great fit. Nate was friendly, accommodating, and put us at ease throughout the entire process. We provided a list of like it's, love it's, and hate it's for the dinner and dance floor playlists, which he faithfully honored. For our ceremony, we had a lot of speakers and a couple musicians -- one of whom had to switch out at the last second due to sickness. Nate totally adapted to the change, and the ceremony sound went off completely without a hitch. We coordinated a silly first dance with him and he perfectly took our cue. And during dinner, when we did need some announcing, Nate was understated and classy. But what really matters? The dance floor, which was so memorable and fun because of Nate's awesome skills. We threw a lot of different genres at him, which he blended seamlessly, creating an unforgettable experience from beginning to end. I'll always remember kicking off with the whole house getting down to motown, spinning around the dance floor to salsa, and screaming emo with the bridesmaids at the end of the night. It was exactly what we wanted. If you're considering booking this guy for your event, don't hesitate!

My wife and I got married in June, and we were so grateful to have DJ Nate on our team! He delivers exactly what he promises - a great, completely customized experience with very little schticky DJ stuff. This was also the must chill & fun part of wedding planning for us. Terrace DJ has an online system where you can just plug in the songs you want and sort them into must play, songs we like, and songs we don't want categories. This allowed us to dance to all the songs we absolutely wanted while still allowing for flexibility so the DJ could read the crowd. DJ Nate also played the music during our outdoor ceremony with no hitches. He was really responsive during the planning process too. He always got back to us pretty much right after we emailed him. Highly recomended!

A joy to work with nate!
I highly recommend Nate from TerraceDJ! The entry, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception dance sets were all truly perfect. He even worked with us to create some custom mixed tracks that were amazing! We really could not be happier. The songs, sound quality, volume, and extra lights were on point. He was dream to work with. We gave some really detailed lists, notes and song suggestions via Google Docs and he diligently commented on and helped us create the wedding music and ambiance that we wanted. He gave great professional feedback but allowed us to set the track lists as much as we wanted. This does not happen with all DJ's as many like to take control of all the music. Nate was very collaborative and let us drive the ship as much as we were comfortable. BUT we couldn't have done it without his help, song editing, and creative input. THANK YOU! We have nothing negative to say and are happy to be able to support him with a 5 star review.

Eclectic Playlist
My husband and I were looking for a DJ that was more lowkey (dramatic announcements/hypeman is not our vibe) and that could play an eclectic mix of music (Spanish, classic wedding, pop, indie, alt rock) and Nate from Terrace DJ was the perfect choice! We were able to make a long list of songs we'd like to hear at the wedding, and Nate worked with us to create a timeline for the day of. He was very personable and easy to work woth, and things went seamlessly on our wedding day. We initially told him we didn't want guests to make requests, but changed our minds halfway through the reception and he was more than accomodating. Even when guests asked for songs he wasn't familiar with and didn't have right away, he made it work! He also provided mics and a speaker for our ceremony, as well as uplighting for the reception. Could not have asked for a better DJ and would recommend him without hesitation. Thanks for supplying the perfect tunes for our special day!!

A wonderful DJ for our non-traditional tastes!
We had a great experience with Terrace DJ! From the getgo he was responsive, kind, flexible and understanding of our idiosyncratic music tastes and requests. As a DJ at our wedding he supported and encouraged a great time without being too much of a hype-man, which was absolutely the vibe we were going for! Our guests had a blast on the dance floor and we would absolutely recommend Terrace DJ to anyone who wants a laid-back attentive DJ with great alternative music tastes!

Super nice, responsive, thoughtful
Had a great experience with Nate! The wedding was just great--he kept people dancing on a hot night, made a great flow from our music requests (even the Hamilton remixes which must've seemed kind of weird), and was a nice friendly, non-intrusive presence on the mic. We booked him for ceremony sound as well which was a challenging setup, off in the woods with no power; I saw him working VERY hard to get everything set up, and everything sounded just great. And he was just so wonderful to work with through the planning process too--we were planning a wedding from across the country so we could only talk on the phone at weird hours, and we made some changes to the wedding time, and he cheerfully worked around our schedules. Such a smooth, pleasant process throughout. Hire him, he's great!
